Psychological Testing
Psychological assessment can include a number of components such as questionnaires, interviews, observations, and tasks. The purpose of the testing is to measure your child’s performance against peers their same age to determine if their deficits fall in a range of great concern.
The PAC provides psychological assessment for children and adolescents aged 2-21 years of age. We can confirm a suspected diagnosis and direct your child to the appropriate treatment providers so that your child can live their best life.

- Pre-Adoption Assessment
First you will need to fill out the New Client Intake Form. This is where we will collect important background information about your child. It is always a good idea to write down current medications, previous surgeries, and other medical information that may be important to helping the doctor make an appropriate diagnosis. Copies of previous evaluations as well as your insurance information will be needed for this step.
Our office will verify your insurance cover and discuss any financial responsibility that you may have toward getting your child evaluated.
Pull out your calendar! The office will schedule your first meeting with the Psychologist. During this appointment you may be required to fillout questionnaires, participate in an interview, or bring your child in for testing or observation.
Sometimes it is necessary to meet a second time to conduct additional testing or answer additional questions. This can depend on the cooperation of your child or the complexity of the testing necessary for diagnosis.
A report of the evaluation will be given to you to summarize the finding and the give recommendations for treatment. This summary will also include the most appropriate diagnosis for your child given the results.
The last and most important part of the assessment! The purpose of testing is to identify concerns and give recommendations of what types of services may help your child overcome their deficits.
